In Martin Travers’ new exhibition entitled ‘Journeys through struggles and dreams’ he explores the classic notion of ‘what doesn’t kill you simply makes you stronger.’ Through a series of journeys on public transport around the world Martin found inspiration for his murals and drawings. ‘The people I meet may become friends or memories, but I try to tell some of their stories, struggles and dreams.’ The opening night will see DJ Werd from Berlin on decks and live performances by Marakit Saturay, Parwom Alhbari and Sharla Sookha. Martin is currently involved in “Three Artists Three cities” an International collaborative project to create positive changes on a community level in Amsterdam, Birmingham and Casablanca.

Street Art San Francisco Mission Muralismo

New book out by the folks at Precita Eyes called "Street Art San Francisco Mission Muralismo" it's edited by Anice Jacoby with a nice forward by the man himself Carlos Santana.
My mural is among the many great works of art that don the walls of San Francisco's Mission District and is in this book, i also get a mention on page 35.
I think it's a great book that documents community/public art as well as giving a really informative historical perspective. What makes it stand out from the many other books in this genre is the views from the local artists themselves, i know community mural artists who have been working for years for the love of it only and never get a mention in books or articles. BIG UP to the folks at Precita Eyes and lets all keep painting.
New York Times ad
